Troubadours of Albion Witchcraft Community

What's New?

Take a look at our new Craft Items page, which gives you access to all sorts of bespoke goodies, from hallmarked jewellery to flower arrangements, all made by us to your design.

We've started adding stories from the Mabinogion - first one, Lleu Llaw Gyffes has been added, but there are more on the way.

Look out, too, for the Troubadours of Albion Witches Brouhaha, an activism group set up to help uphold our values.  Join up here.

The Witches Brouhaha section on the website has been moved to the Elements' pages, under Fire.

Then again, if your tastes don't run to the cutting edge of politics, try our 'blog pages.  Still fiery enough to burn fluffies, but they won't singe your seat!

Let's Get Physical

Earth.  Our base, perhaps the reason for our work.Woodland

The Earth pages are therefore about physical things.  Like archaeology, physical things tell us where we are, they tell us what has been where we are and, if we can put things into context, they can help us build up a picture of what we're doing.

As above, so below; as before, so ahead.

But that is a subject for Air, learning, intellectual pursuits.  What the Earth element is about first and foremost is practical things, from small- and large-c craft.  Witchcraft is, above all else,  practical, about self-reliance - which is probably why the more militant of the Book religions hate us so much.  It's about shaping the world around us: yes, by majickal means where necessary, but why use majick when a nail will do?  See, much of majick is energy intensive - especially for that which it is most useful - especially if done properly.  Why,  then, construct a majickal shelter when one can simply build a round-house or put one stone atop another?  That said, majick is often misunderstood and in the wrong hands can be quite disastrous.

If you want to learn to practise safely, we can certainly help.  But enquire within our Earth pages for practical matters which can safely be studied remotely.
